Place: Friar Lawrence’s Cell

Characters: Friar Lawrence, Romeo

Events: Romeo goes to see Friar Lawrence to ask him if a marriage can be arranged and he agrees because he thinks it could stop the two families conflict.

Quote: “Her I love now”

Friar Lawrence’s Soliloquy: “In plants, herbs, stones and their true qualities: For nought so vile, that on earth doth live.” By saying this, Friar Lawrence is comparing humans to plants in the way that they can be medical and help you a lot, or they can be poisonous.
